Dr. Tahani AlQadiri

Group Director — Academic Affairs and Emiratization

A healthcare leader and academic expert, with 23 years of experience in medical education, workforce planning & development and Public Health. Dr. Tahani plays a pivotal role in shaping the academic vision and strategy of Burjeel Holdings.

She leads initiatives to establish accredited residency and fellowship programs, develop strategic academic partnerships with national and international institutions, and build sustainable training pathways for future healthcare professionals in the UAE. Dr. Tahani is also deeply involved in national workforce reform efforts, aligning Burjeel’s medical education strategy with global standards and local regulatory frameworks, including NIHS, DOH, and MOHRE.

Her leadership continues to drive transformative impact in building a competent, future-ready healthcare workforce for the region.

Dr. Anwar Sallam

Designated Institutional Official (DIO), Clinical Advisor

Dr. Anwar Sallam a Consultant Pediatrics Pulmonologist, with over 17 years of experience and a robust background in clinical leadership. He has held the position of Group Chief Medical Officer at SEHA since 2018, where he has led major initiatives in clinical governance, quality improvement, healthcare infrastructure, and regulatory compliance. Dr. Sallam has been deeply engaged in medical education—mentoring students and residents, receiving a teaching award in 2010, and contributing as an Arab Board and currently NIHS examiner. His leadership has been instrumental in launching the UAE’s first ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency Program in 2021 and securing ACGME-I accreditation for key residency programs during his tenure as Chair of Academic Affairs at Mafraq Hospital. Through his strategic oversight, Dr. Sallam continues to shape and elevate healthcare education and clinical excellence across the UAE.
