Burjeel Holdings partnered with Foreign Policy to host a pivotal roundtable discussion during the 2024 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland. The session, titled ‘Financing the Future of Cancer Care: Scaling the Returns from Investment in Health,’ aimed to address the staggering challenges posed by the projected $25.2 trillion global cost of cancer from 2020 to 2050.

During the event, conducted under the Chatham House Rule, leaders from diverse sectors, including business, finance, policy, academia, and civil society, convened. Esteemed guests included His Excellency Mansoor Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi; and Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder and Chairman of Burjeel Holdings; Allison Carlson Executive Vice President, Foreign Policy; Dr. Andre Goy, Physician in Chief, Oncology Care Transformation Service, Hackensack Meridian Health; Andrea Feigl Chief Executive Officer, Health Finance Institute; Dr. Chitkala Kalidas Vice President, Head Global Regulatory Affairs, Oncology & In Vitro Diagnostics, Bayer; and Eric Cioè-Peña, Vice President of the Center for Global Health, Northwell Health.
